3 days Hadzabe tribe cultural tour overview
Is a cultural Safari opening a door for taking a walk with Hadzabe originated from a San tribe, the hunters and gatherers for honey and insect in the bush found near Lake Eyasi destination.
Lake Eyasi is commonly known as a home of Hadzabe tribe (also known as the Watindiga or Wahadzabe in Swahili), who lives in the bush around the northern parts of the lake. It is a tribe of hunters and collectors, which formerly inhabited the Serengeti, but was forced away by stronger and more aggressive tribes.
Their huts are simple, built in a few hours and as easily abandoned. Like other hunting tribes, the San tribe of the Kalahari in Southern Africa, the Hadzabe speaks a click language. Within this Safari you will have a time for spectacular game viewing in Lake Manyara National Park.

Hadzabe tribe 3 days cultural tour itinerary
Day 1: Arusha – Drive to Karatu to Lake Eyasi
Early in the Morning we take public transport to Karatu where you will get lunch then to Lake Eyasi with the Hadzabe in a number just under 1000. Some 300–400 Hadza live as hunter-gatherers, much as their ancestors have for thousands or even tens of thousands of years; they are the last functioning hunter-gatherers in Africa.
Day 2: Walking with Hadzabe in Lake Eyasi Bush
Early in the morning around 05:45am you'll drive to the dwellings of the famous Hadzabe tribe in the bush for cultural interaction. Join the Hadzabe tribe and go to forage, and during the course of day eat while foraging, and also bring back some honey, fruit, or wild animal hunted if happens.
While traditionally considered an East African branch of the Khoisan people, primarily because their language has clicks, modern genetic research suggests that they may be more closely related to the Pygmies. Take a time to walk with them and watch the way they hunt or collect honey and insects is a big shine of your day. Also, you will visit Mongola villages where you will experience large farming and small farming activities.
Day 3: Drive back to Arusha
After farewell to the village tribesmen, return back to Arusha town.
